Crazy to think about isn't it? It's been a wild ride in the sports world over the last decade. We've seen curses broken, dynasty's made and legends rise. We've had really great moments, and really horrible ones as well. We won't really get into it as we discussed most of them on the show over the weekend. Merry Christmas

This has become a yearly tradition. Each year for the holidays, I try my best to help spread a little Christmas joy to my fellow sports fans, more so those who love the game of hockey as much as I do. With that being said, I offer up my yearly tradition of the 12 Days of Christmas, only this time it's got a twist.

First up, its the 12 Days of Rick Jeanneret:

And of course how could we forget the 12 Days of Hockey:

So sit back, relax and enjoy the tunes!

Merry Christmas!

Best & Worst Of NFL Week Fifteen

Week fifteen has come and gone in the NFL and thanks to the action on the field, there's a lot clearer picture to what the NFL playoffs are going to look like this year. Who sits in what seeds are still to be determined, but we do know that New England, Green Bay, Seattle, San Francisco, and Buffalo all punched their tickets to the playoffs. And, at the same time, we saw playoff hopes for others fall apart. Thanks to their wins on Sunday the Eagles and Cowboys set themselves up for a game that could very well decide the East next week. Oh and we had some pretty good performances on the field by individual players as well. So here we go. Its the best and worst from the week that was in the NFL.

Best:
Sean McDermott, Head Coach Buffalo Bills
Twenty years is a long time to wait. 1999 was the last time that the Buffalo Bills not only made the playoffs, but finished a season with double digits in wins for a year. This week, they went into Pittsburgh and walked away with a hard fought 17-10 win over the Steelers, to reach ten wins for this year. A lot of that has to do with how coach McDermott has handled his team. This will mark the 2nd time in three years that Buffalo is a playoff team and the first time they've hit double digits in wins in twenty years. His team can run the ball really well and have a tough defense to play against. he out coached Mike Tomlin in a tough place to play in Pittsburgh. It shows they might not be able to catch the Patriots, but at least they know they can hang with some of the rest of the heavy hitters in the AFC this year.

Worst:
Freddie Kitchens, Head Coach Cleveland Browns
This was supposed to be a big season for the Browns, a team that was loaded and had, on paper, a team that was good enough to make the playoffs and possibly even win the division. But it's safe to say, sitting at 6-8, that this year has been a disappointment. It made it worse following a 38-24 loss to Arizona on Sunday, a game in which Freddie Kitchens looked to be in a bit over his head. It's been poor playcalling by, at times, by Kitchens. It's having stud playmakers like Landry and Beckham in not as much of an optimal position to make the big plays that are expected of them. Sure, the players aren't executing up to standards, some of that does fall on the coaching staff. They don't seem to be prepared on some weekends, which is what could be holding back the Browns.

Best:
Travis Kelce, Tight End, Kansas City Chiefs
I know he wasn't able to find the endzone on Sunday, but Travis Kelce was a big reason why Kansas City was able to come away with a 23-3 win over Denver and stay in the thick of the race in the conference. He's been one of Patrick Mahomes top targets all year, and again delivered Sunday. He finished with 11 catches for 142 yards. The yards topped all pass catchers in the league this week. He's one of those guys who can not only block, but can catch as well. He's been this way his whole career. He's not at like a Shannon Sharp or even Gronk level, but he still a very solid tight end in his own right and has been a massive reason why Kansas City has been the way they have on offense the last few years.

Worst:
Oakland Football

It's tough enough the fact that the Raiders are leaving the Bay Area at the end of the season. It was made worse the way they went out. Dropping the final home game of the year, a 20-16 decision to the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars. By the time the final buzzer went off at the Coliseum, it was an ugly scene. Fans were booing, throwing garbage on the field and even rushing the field. It got pretty nasty. It's just a sad state of affairs the way this chapter of Raiders football closed out. It's not the first time the Raiders bolted Oakland, having done that from 1982 to 1994 playing in Los Angeles. Now it seams as if they are leaving a more sour taste in fans mouth for their play on the field

Best:
Eli Manning, Quarterback New York Giants
It's been a rough year for the Giants this year, sitting at just three wins following a 36-20 win over the Dolphins at home. Besides beating Miami to snap a nine game losing streak, it was also the possible final sendoff at home for Eli Manning as the starting QB for the New York Giants. He finished the day going 20 for 28 for 2183 yards two touchdowns and three picks. Those are solid numbers for any QB and for Eli, ending with a win at home, it was kind of a fitting sendoff. He got a win, there was a huge standing ovation for the QB as he walked off the field. It was an outpouring of love from the Giants faithful for a Quarterback who had given so much to the Blue Red and White, which he also helped deliver two Super Bowl titles.

Worst:
Los Angeles Rams
This was a team that had high expectations attached to it. After falling to the Patriots in the Super Bowl last year, Los Angeles was factored into being a favorite to at least go back to the NFC title game again this year. Going into this week's meeting with the Dallas Cowboys, the Rams had a slim chance of hanging onto and possibly making the post season. After falling 44-21 to the Boys, the odds of Los Angeles getting back are all but gone. Todd Gurely has been nowhere nearly as effective as he was in the past. Jared Geoff looks off a tad. It just doesn't seem to be clicking for the Rams this year, for whatever reason. And with the way things have gone this year, it looks like this will be the first time the Rams are going to miss the playoffs under Sean McVay.

Best:
Kenyan Drake, Running Back, Arizona Cardinals
Here's a guy who was forgotten about by a lot of people earlier this year. When he got shipped off from Miami to Arizona, it didn't really raise a lot of eyebrows. But for one game, a 38-24 win by Arizona over Cleveland, he made people remember his name. He finished the day with 22 carries for 137 yards, which lead all rushers this week. Oh and lets not forget the fact that he just so happen to rush for four touchdowns on the day as well. its one of those games that can go down in the books as a huge statement game. Who knows if Drake really has much outstanding play left in his tank, but the Cards, and any fantasy owners who started him this week, are very thankful for the performance he put on.

Taylor Hall Heads To Desert

Lets go back to the Summer of 2016. Thew New Jersey Devils had been struggling to try and find an identity. They hadn't had a solid franchise player in New Jersey in some time. Then Ray Shero pulls off a big trade with the Oilers, a lopsided one in fact, landing Taylor Hall in the East Coast. And it worked. Hall won a Hart Trophy as league MVP and pretty much carried the Devils into the playoff spot two years ago. Now here we sit, and Hall is no longer a Devil.

There's been a lot of speculation the deal was announced earlier today. The full trade is Taylor Hall and Blake Speers were sent to the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Arizona's first-round pick in 2020, Arizona's third-round selection (conditional) in 2021, as well as prospects Kevin Bahl, Nick Merkley and Nate Schnarr. This is also the final year of Hall's deal, which is a $6 million cap hit. Half of that is being payed by the Devils.

How does this effect both teams?

For the Coyotes it gives them another high powered weapon to play with Phil Kessel, Clayton Keller and Oliver Ekman Larson. Oh and it's adding yet another layer to the Coyotes, who are tied for first in the Pacific with the Oilers and a point up on the Golden Knights. Adding a guy like Hall makes this Coyotes an even stronger offensive team. So this is huge for Arizona, who not only get a solid rental but could possibly lock up Hall long term depending on how well things go in the desert the rest of the season.

As for the Devils, they're a second to last place team in the Metro division, the only team worse than them is the Red Wings. This isn't a full blow rebuild in Jersey, they have strong pieces already in place. It's just a retooling of what they already have. Now, there is still a chance that Hall could sign back in New Jersey once the offseason hits. But, lets say that he doesn't. New Jersey is still in decent shape, at least by comparison to what Shero got when he took over in 2015. Sure, they gave up a stud defenseman in Adam Larson on the blueline, a move which still hurts the Devils, in terms of lack of defensive depth. But, with Hall gone, its not like the Devils don't have any pieces at all. They've got Nico Hischier and Jack Hughes, to serve as the foundation. They have talented young players in Jesper Bratt, Jesper Boqvist, Pavel Zacha, Mackenzie Blackwood and more.

The trade does sting the Devils, but they aren't totally crippled by the move. They can still build and possibly even bring him back. It could work out well long term for both sides
