Now we touched on it on the show last week with Kyrie going dark with the media. I still think its a bad move by Kyrie. Its making him look like an idiot. I get his reasoning that he doesn't want to get his story taken out of context. But by not speaking to the press it casts a bad shadow over you. Kyrie took to Instagram today to make his statement to the media regarding this fine.
Per ESPN, "[I am] here for Peace, Love, and Greatness. So stop distracting me and my team, and appreciate the Art. We move different over here. "I do not talk to Pawns. My attention is worth more"
Stop Kyrie please. This makes you look like a jackass. It shouldn't be that much of a distraction to talk to the media. Those in the press are trying to do their jobs about getting information about the team and how its doing out to it's fans. By you not talking, at least from where I sit, it makes it look like you don't care about the fans. Doing this makes you look like a child.
Look it makes sense, like he said in his statement last week, that he doesn't want it to be taken out of context. That does happen where stuff can get blown out of proportion. This whole thing is getting blown out of proportion. I get it, he wants to let his play do the talking and then if he has to address the media he does it over social media. The way he's going about it is childish and disrespectful.
Plus the $25,000 he getting fined is about 1%, if that, of his annual pay. He making $41 million so that isn't a whole lot. But he keeps doing stuff like this its going to keep adding up.
