Best: Miami Dolphins Offense
To say that this game was a beatdown would be a massive understatement. They won at home and in a big way, beating the Broncos 70-20. No that is not a typo that was the actual score from Miami Sunday afternoon. First time that a team has scored that many points in a game since 1966. Miami rang up 726 yards of total offense. The Dolphins had 326 rush yards on the day and five touchdowns on the ground. Can't say much more than that its a total destruction
Worst: Josh McDaniels Head Coach Las Vegas Raiders
Some of the decisions he's made at the end of games really have to make you sit there and think what the hell is this guy doing? Vegas fell to the Steelers 23-18 Sunday night and it was McDaniels call near the end of the game that cost them the game. It was 23-15 Pittsburgh with 2:22 left. Its 4th and 4. Instead of going for the touchdown close, the Raiders took the safe route and kicked a field goal. Sure it was successful cutting the Steelers lead to 23-18. But the Steelers pretty much killed the clock before punting and Jimmy G threw a pick to end the game. Had McDaniels gone for it instead of playing the safe route, this could have been a very different post and the Raiders could have a winning record. But alas they do not.
Best: Miles Garrett Defensive End Cleveland Browns
This should come as a no surprise to anybody that Miles Garrett is one of the best defensive players in all of football. He proved that again on Sunday as the Browns beat up on the Titans, walking away with a 27-3 win at home. Garett had five tackles, four of which were solos. but what stood out is that he had 3.5 sacks on the day, which was the most by any defensive player during the week. He's proving again that he can be, and still is, a terror to deal with.
Worst: Minnesota Vikings Ball Control
Even with Kirk Cousins putting up very impressive numbers, Minnesota still sits at 0-3. In a 28-24 loss to the Chargers, Minnesota had a good day through the air with Cousins throwing for 367 yards. Problem is he was picked off once and sacked four times. That pick couldn't have come at a worse time, getting picked off in the end zone in the final seconds. If the Vikings are going to get back into playoff contention at some point this season, they need to learn to hang onto the football.
Best: CJ Stroud Quarterback Houston Texans
CJ had himself a day on Sunday. It was in a dominating 37-17 Texans win over Jacksonville, which was quite the statement right there. Stroud was near perfect going 20 for 30 for 280 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Its even more impressive that he's played mistake free football over the first three games of his career, he hasn't thrown a pick yet this year, as of this writing. He's showing bigtime strides to his game that, at least early on, could be big showings for the rest of his career.
Worst: Sam Howell Quarterback Washington Commanders
It's tough going up against a team like the Bills, who seemed to have found themselves again after week one. Buffalo dominated Arizona from the get go, walking away with a 37-3 whitewashing of Washington. Sam Howell had some good vibes around him coming into this week, but that went away quicker than a hiccup on Sunday. to be fair, his line wasn't much help to him, allowing Howell to get hit 15 times and sacked 9 times. But Sam also did some of the bad all on his own as well. He threw no touchdowns and was picked off four times. yeah that was a bad day
